This lab helps the students in training to teach about the dispensing of the drugs in a hospital by a pharmacist and about community pharmacy practice.
Students must understand and participate in active-learning activities including understanding prescription, diabetic-foot exams, sblood glucose testing, reading of blood pressures, and counselling mock patients on medication utilization.
Additional active-learning simulations revolve around filling prescriptions, performing drug-interaction assessments.
Also includes activities like professionalism, communication skills, prescription compounding, calculations, use and practice of drug information, physical assessment, devices-use competency, adherence, and medication safety.
The Laboratory consists of various equipments like BOD incubator, Hemocytometer, Haemoglobinometer, Disintegration Apparatus, Dissolution Apparatus, use to practice on patients for the study of various diseases and conditions.
